As we cozy up by the fireplaces and sip our hot cocoa, winter has officially arrived in the southern hemisphere.
While the days grow shorter and the nights longer, our focus continues to be on creating smarter, more efficient spaces.
We hope to meet many of you in person this month at the leading trade event for our industry: BuildNZ/National Safety Show/Facilities Integrate. We look forward to welcoming you to our stand (#4071), to share ideas, and introduce our latest products. More information below.
In this Bulletin, we also explore how smart lighting solutions can reduce your energy footprint, and demonstrate your commitment to greener principles. Also we look at the myths and the facts around building management systems and lighting control systems.
We also report back on the success of last month's Pink Ribbon Breakfast and Auction.
Sincerely, The Intelligent Environments Team
Build NZ | National Safety Show | Facilities Integrate
Three shows all under one roof!
BuildNZ and Facilities Integrate is the leading trade event for the Building, Construction, Design, Facility Management and Architectural industries. It brings together industry professionals and innovators to share ideas, showcase the latest products, and develop business relationships.
Visit our stand (#4071) on either 25th or 26th June, at Auckland Showgrounds, 217 Green Lane West, Epsom, Auckland 1051 and chat with members of our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch teams about what is hot (and what is not) in the fields of lighting control, building technology and facility management.
In the modern era of environmental consciousness and corporate responsibility, organisations are increasingly looking to smart lighting solutions to both reduce their energy footprint, and demonstrate to staff and customers their commitment to greener principles.
This post considers how zencontrol with both DALI-2 (wired) and DALI+ (wireless) formats is revolutionising energy efficiency and sustainability.
A Building Management System or Lighting Control? Busting Myths...
A building management system (BMS) and a lighting control system (LCS) have historically served different purposes, but with recent advances in technology that now allows two-way feedback from the lighting control system on occupancy, temperature, air quality, and so much more, a lighting control system may actually remove the need for a BMS, or make it less critical.
In our blog below, we challenge the myths around why a BMS may be deemed necessary and explain why in some situations, an LCS may provide all the functionality you require.
